What is ANPR and when is it worth it?
ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) reads plates by camera. It pays off at accesses with many regular vehicles — condominiums, companies, fleets — because it eliminates remotes and cards and logs every passage.
Can I manage condominium access remotely?
Yes. With cloud systems, management creates and revokes credentials, reviews events and opens accesses from anywhere, with no trips or key handovers.
Can it integrate with what already exists?
In most cases, yes. We automate existing gates and integrate installed barriers, electric locks and CCTV into the new management platform.
What about data protection?
We design systems in line with GDPR: minimised data, role-based access, and configurable retention policies for logs and images.
Architecture
How to design a system that doesn't fail.
An access control system has three layers: identification (who asks to enter — card, code, number plate, fingerprint, smartphone), decision (the controller validating credentials, schedules and permissions) and actuation (the lock, barrier or gate that opens). The strength of the whole is measured by the weakest layer — which is why we size all three together.
In small installations, standalone readers solve it simply. As soon as there are several accesses, rotating users or a need for history, centralised management becomes essential: a local server or cloud platform where credentials are created and revoked in seconds, without changing locks or collecting keys.
We always design with GDPR on the table: minimised data collection, information access profiles, defined and documented retention periods. Physical security and privacy are not opposing goals — they are the same project done well.
